Some players play the same game but might not have the same goals.
Not everyone is trying to win the game in the same way.
While we’re working for systemic change, others might be playing for quarterly profits. While we’re building for long-term impact, others might be chasing short-term wins.
Some play to maintain the status quo. Some want incremental improvements, radical transformation, or to look like they care.
Understanding these different goals isn’t about judgment but about having the clarity of knowing who’s playing what game, and why.
Working toward making a change happen means recognising which players share our purpose and which ones are playing a different game entirely.
