It’s not about being a guru or the definitive expert in a field. It’s about helping others because we can, and because we have some tools and knowledge to do it.
We can’t possibly know everything before we decide to serve others. There’s always someone out there who will be grateful for our help, and if there’s one, most likely, there are more.
Let’s focus on serving others with the little we know rather than trying to impress everyone with how much we think we know.
It’s not about us, it’s about them. Those we care about and set ourselves to serve. Serving them will teach us more about their desires, fears, and challenges. Therefore, we will learn to serve them better, which makes us more experts.
Like everything, it’s not a final state or destination, it’s a journey. We don’t become experts and stop learning. We continue learning, evolving with our audience, and becoming better at serving them.
Don’t wait until you feel you’re an expert to start helping others. Start helping and continue building your expertise.
