Decisions. Unknown Outcomes.

Good decisions can sometimes lead to unwanted outcomes. And poor decisions occasionally result in lucky wins.

A good decision means carefully considering what we know, being clear about our values and constraints, and acting with intention. Even if things don’t work out as planned.

An outcome, on the other hand, is influenced by factors out of our control. By timing, someone else’s perspectives and actions, circumstances, and chances we couldn’t have predicted.

Understanding this difference gives us the courage to keep making thoughtful decisions with intention, even when previous good ones didn’t lead to the desired results.
