Of course, we don’t want enemies, but making meaningful change means challenging the status quo.
Standing for something that matters means lots of people won’t like it. Creating real transformation means making them feel uncomfortable.
We don’t need to be controversial for controversy’s sake, but we must be clear about our mission so that those who oppose the change we seek can’t ignore us anymore.
If everyone likes what we’re doing, we’re not pushing hard enough, creating not enough tension, and challenging not enough assumptions.
Having haters is a strong sign we’re moving things forward.
