Can we make the consequences intended, not accidental?
Can we design our actions with their impact in mind?
It’s very easy to focus only on primary outcomes while ignoring the ripple effects and celebrating immediate wins without considering long-term impacts, solving a problem today while ignoring the important one tomorrow.
Intended consequences require systems thinking and doing the hard work of seeing beyond the obvious to understand how our choices affect connected systems.
We must improve our ability to ask better questions before acting.
Not just “Will this work?” but “What else will happen when this works?”
Not just “Can we do this?” but “What will change when we do?”
