There’s a big gap between wanting something and actually doing it especially if it’s something significant.
That gap is a deep, serious decision commitment to building new habits. Usually small but consistent, frequent new habits that will gradually show some results over time.
Most importantly, the gap is about detaching from old habits and all the things that don’t contribute to that new horizon.
We’re not wired for long-term results, though. It’s hard to commit to something we’re not going to see results in five or ten years. That’s probably why most people don’t make big changes in their lives.
It has become normal to hate Mondays and love Fridays or to have unhealthy habits but do nothing about it. And even though we can’t change it in an instant, we can certainly start making changes immediately.
Of course, wanting it is the first step but doing it requires you to be serious about it.
