Thoughtful because it requires careful thought, good sense, close attention, and detailed consideration of the feelings and the well-being of the people we promised to serve.
A gift because we must give it, and put it out there in the world with generosity to make change happen.
It’s challenging though, even when we try to gift something thoughtful to someone we’ve known for years. We really need to dig deep to understand what they care about today, not yesterday, or next year.
That’s what makes our job so interesting and challenging. We give something thoughtful which might work or not, and then we start working on the next thing, the next gift, and then we go again.
