How do we start a plan? We understand where we are right now and where we want to go. That’s the high level of it.
If we haven’t been there, and nobody has been there, it’s not possible to know what it will be like when we get there. Success or failure. It doesn’t matter.
Nothing will be the same after the journey, we’ll learn a valuable lesson, which we’ll use for the next one.
If we have been there, then we’re not creating something new, no innovation will take place, no change will happen, and worst of all, it might be very boring.
Now, back to the plan. Once we know where we stand and where we want to go, we then decide how we will attempt to get there, what we need to bring, who is coming with us, and what change we expect to happen to those on board. That change is our why. It will drive us.
It might not go as planned. We will need things we didn’t bring, some people will leave without completing the journey, and others will hop on along the way. Our assumptions about the journey could be wrong.
What are we going to do next?
If we are clear about the why and the change we’re trying to make, then we will be able to adjust our assumptions so we can move forward.
We put a plan together not to avoid failure but to guide us based on our current reality and our initial assumptions. Completing the journey won’t get us to a final destination, but it will allow us to learn and become a better version of ourselves so we can do it again.
As you have noticed already, there’s no point in starting a plan if we’re not clear about what change we’re seeking and how big our ‘why’ is.
Luckily for us, vegans, our why is the biggest there is. The change we’re looking for is the change the world needs the most.
Let’s get planning.
